- Organizational and audience analysis – We have the capability to analyze performance improvement requirements at the organizational and individual level. Organizational analysis is typically used at the strategic planning level and audience analyzes entry level knowledge, skills and abilities of adult learners as preparation for a learning event, such as class room instruction.
- Instructional design – This phase focuses on developing specifications for what the learner will demonstrate as a job performance outcome, and includes the writing and sequencing specific performance objectives, decisions on media to support learning, and developing a plan for evaluating learning outcomes that support the organization.
- Program development – This phase focuses on the development and sequencing of media and learning activities, creating learning outlines and instructor guides. Relevant content and application materials and exercises are developed into booklets, handouts, and slide presentations for the participant.
- Program implementation – The implementation phase includes the delivery of instruction using the method and medium selected in the design phase. Pre-implementation activities include securing the physical or virtual location for the instruction, the preparation of learning materials for distribution to participants, and ensuring that equipment such as computers, data projectors, chart packs, etc. are accessible.
- Program evaluation – Sample & Associates has the capability to evaluate programs using either Kirkpatrick’s four levels of evaluation or Brinkerhoff’s case study method. We will also conduct formative evaluations and a final summative evaluation at the request of our clients.
